In the past the realm of perfume making was that of the designers and specialists. There were the big names synonymous with perfume along with the other more niche perfume varieties. That was where it ended. Over time the jewellery world has changed and we have seen two different things emerge. The main change is that celebrity culture is now huge and because of this perfume companies have thought it would be a good idea to bring them in on the act. The big question is how do these celebrity fragrances measure up to designer originals?

Many do believe that celebrities themselves actually have very little to do with the perfume making and only provide a face for the perfume. Top perfume brands have copped just fine without any celeb endorsement. Perfumeries have relied on the quality of their product to sell it not celebrities; however this might not be working anymore. We are now seeing companies using the power of celebrities to offer lower quality perfumes to consumers.

There is also the other aspect of the celebrity perfume industry in which many celebs play a big part in developing their own fragrances. Paris Hilton claims she plays major part in the creation and choosing the scent of all her perfume lines womens perfume. In these cases you might consider this. What do celebrities know about making perfumes? Frankly the assumption that since you are famous then you have good taste is a little arrogant. What you have to consider is the fact that with such a huge range available, there are bound to be a lot of duds.

Despite this, there are a variety of very popular celebrity fragrances, and it is often the case that the celebrity is just chosen as the spokesperson for an already well established line of beauty products. Unfortuntely at the momement there are a number of celebs trying to cash in on perfumes at the momement. This can give buyers a difficult decision to choose the product that best suits their image but will sell.

Peter Graves Dead

Sunday (14.3.2010), veteran actor Peter Graves found dead in Pacific Palisades, California, United States. Peter Graves popular as Jim Phelps in the television series ‘Mission: Impossible’.

Sandy Brokaw, Peter Graves family spokesman reveals that 83 year old Peter Graves dead because of a heart attack.

Sandy tells that the incident happened when Peter Graves had just arrived at his home after going with his wife and son. One of Peter’s daughters tries to give CPR, but unfortunately she did not succeed saving her father life.

Peter Graves born March 18, 1926 had appeared in the series ‘Mission: Impossible’ from 1967 until 1973, then resumed in 1988 until 1990. Through his role on the series, Peter was awarded at 1971 Golden Globe Award.

Not only the series ‘Mission: Impossible’, Peter Graves also has starred in dozens of films such as, ‘Stalag 17′, ‘Killers from Space’, ‘Airplane’, ‘Addams Family Values’, ‘House on Haunted Hill’ and ‘Men in Black II’.
