Most bats that get onto homes are just looking for a place to stay during the day. Bats ensure that they house themselves in darker places like a garret or a topmost floor where there is no light. They usually leave at night to hunt for food.
Prevention is better than cure and hence you need to ensure that they do not make their way into your home. You should check around your roof area for holes or spaces where they could get in and seal them off. Before resorting to sealing, we need to be doubly sure that the bats have made their way out. Bats do not like fiberglass insulation, so if you do not have any installed in your attic then you may consider doing so if bats are a huge problem. Keeping the lights on or the fans on would also help in keeping the bats away.
Pouring some liquid repellent on the floor also helps greatly in driving away bats. Bats are not only damaging and injurious, but equally irritating as well. Bats eat away the other pests and thus your home will be surely wiped off other irritating pests.
